August Alsina perchance soon hear from lawyers representing Def Jam Recordings.

The R&B vocalizer took to Twitter on Monday to blast Def Jam while calling the label trash and saying that they are holding his music earnest and holding him hostage. The root of his grouse with the characterization seems to exist about his long awaited new album which should serves as the followup to his 2015 LP This Thing Chosen Life. The 25-year-old singer seems highly frustrated with the label and fifty-fifty told his fans that he will instead drop some free music soon.

"I would love to put my anthology out merely DEF JAM is holding it/me hostage considering the system is not up & running until next yr so they basically dont be," August Alsina said. "The label is just TRASH .. I volition release complimentary music soon but that has been the hold up. Tell Them to Complimentary ME & the Album."

His argument is in response to a fan who asked him, "Ayo [August Alsina] where is the anthology at bro?! 2022 was a tuff year. I need some of your newest work, I'm goin threw a lot of sh*t."
